D. G. Nelson
Mr. Don Nelson serves on ME911's Strategic Advisory Board with strong expertise
in strategy and venture finance. Mr. Nelson is a seasoned Investment Banker with
Board-level experience with several health care related companies and organizations.
With his own boutique investment bank, Mr. Nelson has successfully completed over $5.6 billion of corporate financings and merger and acquisition related advisory assignments.
Mr. Nelson began his professional career in 1968 as a Research Analyst at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in Paris, where he advised European companies on mergers and acquisitions. He then joined Blyth Eastman Dillon's Corporate Finance Department in New York, where he was actively involved in mergers and acquisitions and capital raising for corporate clients, and also managed the firm's venture capital activity. Mr. Nelson joined Crocker National Bank in San Francisco in 1974, to start and manage the Merchant Banking/Corporate Finance Division, which included departments specialized in mergers, acquisitions, private placements, restructurings and work-outs. His Crocker responsibilities were later expanded to include regional managership of Western Europe, based in London. In 1985, Mr. Nelson joined Prudential Securities as Director of Investment Banking in San Francisco, where his responsibilities included providing corporate financing and mergers and acquisitions advice to companies in the western United States.
Mr. Nelson is Chairman of Gate Capital Partners, a global network of investment banks that maintain extensive contacts with corporations, financial institutions and investors, worldwide. Mr. Nelson earned his MBA in 1969 from Harvard Business School, and his BA in 1964 from Brown University. He also served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Nelson and his wife, Lynn, reside in Piedmont, CA. Their 23-year old son, Matt, is a recent graduate of Northwestern University. Mr. Nelson has held numerous corporate directorships, and was awarded the National Philanthropy Medal in 2000 for community service in the healthcare field.

EMS Solutions is as a full service health and safety training and consulting company specializing in emergency preparedness, response, recovery and safety. This includes life safety and business continuity planning; EOC design, emergency exercises; ergonomics; and general safety consulting. 100% woman owned firm. Luis Gutierrez Roy
Mr. Luis Gutierrez resides in Barcelona (Spain) and serves on ME911's Strategic Advisory Board guiding the company on its expansion strategy in the US and overseas. He is currently a Managing Partner with Telegraph Hill Capital (THCapital), a US-based fund which invests in mobile, wireless and digital media companies.
Prior to THCapital. Luis Gutiérrez headed the Barcelona office of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance as Managing Director. He joined E&Y after previous experience at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he was a Corporate Finance Associate Director, and also Houlihan Valuation Advisors, a Corporate Finance firm present in several US cities. He started his professional career as a financial analyst for the Barcelona Stock Exchange.
Luis has led corporate finance engagements, fundraising and M&A transactions in Europe, the US, Asia and Latin America, and has provided financial advisory to companies in various sectors, particularly Telecommunications, Media and Technology. He is a frequent lecturer at top business schools such as ESADE, IESE and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and has published papers, articles and co-authored a book on business valuations. Luis Gutiérrez has a BS in Economics and Business Administration from the Universidad de Barcelona. He also is a MBA from the University of San Francisco. He speaks English, French, Catalan and Spanish.
